Subjective observation that may or may not be true: I don't ever remember so many teams, day in and day out, scoring 10+ runs a game. It feels like three or four teams do it every day. Are runs historically high this year, or am I just fixating on a few games?

Up a fifth of a run from last year, identical to 2017, half a run lower than PED peak. So no. Maybe it's a distribution thing.

i am willing to believe that because, especially in the AL, we have some really good teams and some disastrously awful ones, that there are more blowouts than usual. but i have no data for it
