The Interesting 2018 New York Mets (Who Will Probably Fall Into a Pile of Scorpions Again)

Matt Harvey was partying in LA the night before he had a wobbly time coming out of the bullpen for the Mets in San Diego, sources told Page Six.

Harvey attended the Thursday opening of hot Avra Beverly Hills, where guests included Halle Berry, Cindy Crawford, Ellen Pompeo and Selma Blair.

But a spy told us that Harvey was “out at the Avra opening stumbling around . . . He had to sit down at one point. He must have been so desperate to party, he came up from San Diego.”

Another guest said that among so many stars, “Nobody knew who Matt was,” but, “he was sober.”

Harvey — who’s been relegated to the bullpen — has gotten into hot water in the past for partying when he should’ve been prepping.

Harvey suddenly being a teetotaler but ALSO still partying every night is the kind of shocking twist that would fit into the Mets Canon

Was Alderson upset about Page Six report on Harvey? “Usually I get upset if a report is unexpected. I guess the short answer is no.”

Wow. Kind of had to happen though. The relationship was getting toxic, to say the least. Not to mention the pitching was just not there.

I understand the sudden happiness but the broader picture is quite sad. I don't want any of those 2 injuries to happen to any baseball player.
