lmao my entire OF is benched for the day, along with my two available backups also being a) benched and b) DLed.

when you have players on your fantasy team who are playing against the team you're a fan of that day, do you bench them bc you want them to perform poorly against "your team," or do you play them to mitigate the negative feelings if they do well against "your team"?

i shut down any and all personal feelings. i am an unfeeling, uncaring, relentless fantasy baseball bot when it comes to setting my line-up.

i was going through my team to start mass-adding/dropping players (my team is a fuckin' mess and april's over, seems like the right time to panic) and I was looking at my keep-eligible players... all of a sudden I was like, where did this one guy go? I didn't drop him, but he isn't on my team... turns out Felipe Rivero is now Felipe Vazquez.

Anyway the point is I'm blowing up a bunch of my team (mostly pitching) and the upthread keeper spreadsheet is updated.

i had never heard of jakob junis before this year and now he's the savior of my pitching staff. same deal with matthew boyd, to a slightly lesser extent. thank goodness for those random pick-ups that pay off.

everyone on my pitching staff is finding their way to the DL. I have to admit i had a grim lol at the phrasing on CarMart's most recent update:

Note - the dropped players kinda gets updated when i have time/feel like it so it may not be 100% up to date at all times. i usually try to do it 1-2 times a month, it's only correct up to apr 30 right now (have some time today tho, might fix it later). yahoo doesn't have any handy way of getting the dropped players/dates/times so there's a lot of copy and paste and super annoying text editing.

i kind of get why same-day adds aren't allowed (though they were in my previous league), but the lack of same-day drops is cramping my style. jake lamb got taken off the DL today but i can't activate him because the player i dropped to make room for him won't leave my lineup until tomorrow. and i also apparently can't do any other transactions because i have a healthy player on the DL.

Yeah, this is annoying. This happened to me twice this week, with Edwin Encarnación and Justin Turner getting activated on a few hours notice before their games. Turner did nothing that night, but Edwin hit one out!

Only the Gallos could post this line and lose 4 points on an off-day. If only Chapman pitched, I could've been -5

well... I've got Machado under 27, so I'll need 27/28 year-old or a young guy that's gonna be better than éloy jimenez (or more likely both). It's gonna have to be an unrefuseable deal at this point, so not a Chris "Sale", more of a Chris "Fair Deal". maybe i'm being premature, but i'm anticipating a sell-off as i don't think this team as it stands will break the top 3.

i'm delusional and believe that my crippled team still has a shot, but i also assume Max Scherzer will go blind and Jacob DeGrom will tear his elbow ligament while brushing his teeth.
