well his BABIP is crazy low – his hard-hit rate is as high as ever, along with walk rate. the only thing that troubling is his K rate has gone up by about 3%. i still like his odds of bouncing back ROS.

so my other league is AL-only and i have the top waiver priority. Is Duda really the best thing that's going NL-to-AL this trade deadline?!

one of the things i insist on doing for some reason is making sure each of my teams has a new team name every year and this year i had one i was pretty unhappy with from the draft until now (Mahtook Ones (Pt II)) but the other day I was walking and I had just the most gloriously stupid idea for a name that I cannot shake so I present to you all the logo for my 4th (!?!) team this year,

i'm in a shallow auction league where after the draft i was like "lol my team is going to be the best"

currently floating in 3rd of 8 teams, and fully 33% (8 of 24) of my squad is on the DL: donaldson, belt, pollock, archer, kershaw, syndergaard, darvish, robbie ray (i said it was a shallow league)

like... shallow or not, i can't drop a single one of thes fucking guys

Who's on the WW/FA list? I find it hard you'd be too attached to Archer & Darvish...

By ysahoo's season ranking, there's Mikolas, Wacha, Folty, Mengden, Gio G, Berrios, Cahill, Ryu, Newcomb, Porcello... All better than them this year, but not exactly inspiring.

Archer was dropped in my 10-team AL only league (I snatched him up); but if he's droppable there you're probably safe to turf him.

done, let's see what berrios can do. i was initially gonna just ride it out because i was killing my innings limit, but when half of your pitchers go down that head start begins to erode real quick

keep an eye on archer tho – he's apparently only missing one start.

Over the course of 4 days, Paul Goldschmidt has risen from 298 to 87 in overall player rankings in default H2H yahoo league scoring.

After yesterday's hit-piece in ESPN on Miguel Sano, he's been dropped in 3% of Y! leagues, including a couple of mine.

so in my other glorping league - we have a team that missed the (auction) draft and has been pouting about it all season (the auto draft left him with an abomination of a team). he was doing some weird waiver wire shit - dropping a few of his respectable players and literally benched his entire team. weird, but whatever. the commish, who is a smart, talented, decent guy knew about all this as well. no biggie. but then over the weekend this trash team trades literally his only two ok/good players to the commish – for two nobodies. trade was voted down a day later; but i was kinda of appalled at what poor judgment he exercised. he took over the commish job from me a few years ago, so i don't want to rag on him... the other team should really be locked imho. maybe he got the hint when his trade was smacked down and that will be enough... maybe i should fire him a message? leaning towards keeping quiet.

is there a public place to berate and embarrass the offender? a chat room or fb group or something? i'd say that's a good start, and get the rest of your league on it... is there an incentive to tanking this obviously?

no - not a keeper league, or a cash league or anything. he's just being a suck. that i don't care about so much as our commissioner deciding making a blatantly one sided-trade with that team. i have no idea what he was thinking.

yeah ef both of those guys, hopefully everyone vetoes the trade. next year I'd hesitate to join the league and if asked why, just mention these incidents and that you'd be wary of such sketchy COLLUSION.

Trade is already dead. The commish tho is a pretty great guy normally. I’m really baffled.

in another roto league i just moved into joint 1st place today, after taking first for the first time only 3 days before the end of the season. same guy was on top all year until i ruined it! Had my WHIP been 0.0038 lower, I would have won outright. Perhaps more shockingly, had my WHIP been 0.00026 (!!!) higher, I wouldn't have finished in first.

I won my friends league. $$$ back-to-back champs. :)

If Twitter ever released my search results for this year it would just say "mariners lineup" over and over again.

So my team name in my other league has been WHIP Priest for a few years, a nod to the Fall song as well as the baseball stat, walks plus hits over innings pitched.

Never had a really good image to use as my team logo, though. Not until today!
