The interesting question is, in light of how mercurial Puig's season was, and weighing that against how much of a roll of the dice young pitchers are, who would you rather have going forward? Puig's about a year-and-a-half older.

it's am amazing shot all around, down to little details like Puig's number, right in the center, being the only immediately visible one in the image (you can make out small numbers on the other jerseys but none of them pop out in the same way)

who is the Red holding his ankles? along with the Hurdle-helmed Pirates surging forward against Puig, it comes off like a pastiche of military paintings

He came up in an e-mail response on James's site today. Where is he? What happened? How can a 30-year-old who hit 24 HR and had a slash line of .267/.327/.458 when he last played two years ago not have potential value for someone? A little erratic, true, but he never really had a bad season, and I would think his flair and enthusiasm would be clubhouse positives.
