yeah, his keepers alone (Crawford, Cargo, Posey, Hamilton) are a solid core.

My downward spiral begins: -29 points in the standings for me today, dead last in R and HR, pitching staff slipping from great to merely good. At least I was in second for a day earlier this week, it's looking like that'll be the highlight of my season.

that's how most keeper leagues work but we're pretty mellow and sabr. kind of refreshing that no one cares too much what place they finish in.

we should do a keeper league where the number of limbs you get to keep at the end of the season depends on how you place

I'm about to drop Travis Snider, who is keeper eligible. It's true that he's started off the season pretty poorly, but I think he'll do fine over the course of the year - I just have a surplus of Outfielders and he's wasting space on my bench, I have another OF coming off the DL soon, so..

anyway, if anyone wants to trade let me know, I'll wait a few hours before pulling the trigger. He's keeper-eligible so I didn't want to piss anyone off by not offering him up first, just in case.

how do I switch out two players on the dl? Basically I have Ubaldo coming off the DL to start tomorrow and I need to replace him with Hong Chih Kuo who can be dl'd but it keeps telling me Im over the roster size.

Hmm, the only guys on your roster I really want are guys you drafted in the top 9 rounds. Dunno if you'd want to do that deal for a guy I got off the wire.

1) a strong everyday catcher (in this scenario, I would throw in Michael Napoli, who is great when he plays - right now he's getting platooned yet again for no fucking reason, just like last year)

yeah, idgi. he's playing a bit more often lately, so the offer is off for now, i guess. but he's still only playing maybe 3 out of every 5 games. it's baffling, and especially frustrating after i had him all last season, where mike scioscia also platooned the fuck out of him.

now i have the immortal john buck as my backup catcher, but thermo a couple weeks ago i would've given you a sweet deal for russell martin!

I'm surprised at my team's jump in the standings over the past week -- my best two hitters are still on the DL. OTOH, I'm happy that Phil Hughes caught teh dead arm because that guy was singlehandedly killing my pitching stats.

i enjoy that my team continues to be near the bottom in the boring bullshit fundamental categories of bbs, gidps & fielding % and still @ the top of the standings

its like an irl team i would root for and simultaneously be infuriated by
