Soxies squeeze out another one!! Best start in 104 years of White Sox baseball. I am seriously in shock right now.

If they can get through tomorrow -- el Duque should be able to beat KC, knock on wood -- it's back to Buehrle for the Oakland series. Wow. This team is rocking and rolling right now.

Meh. Joe did kind of lean into it. I'm more steamed about that fuckin BALK last nite. WTF was that crap all about?? And gee, bad calls or no, could Marte please suck it up and win a game here?? god. I hate when Buehrle goes into "bad Buehrle" mode like he does two or three times a season, like that Philadelphia game last year. ah well. An off day and coming home should do them a world of good.

26-9, still best record in the bigs, and the Sox have extended their record of consecutive games with a lead to 35.

Considering Dye and Konerko are still below .200 and Iguchi is the only starter above .300, AND the Big Hurt still hasn't played one out this year, all of the above hosannas are v. well deserved.

Rob, I was watching the trifecta of awesome reality TV tonight (Survivor, Apprentice, Project Greenlight finale), so I missed almost all the game, and missed Hawk's return. And tomorrow night is dinner with some friends and then the Mountain Goats, so I won't be able to really watch the O's/Sox matchup 'til Saturday. I guess I should Tivo tomorrow's game.

And yeah, Sammy's timing on his foot seems a bit curious. He's pussing out.

Views: Buehrle's won five of his seven starts and he's yielding a 3.78 ERA with a 1.09 WHIP. In combo leagues, because of a freak incident to his foot this spring, which turned out to be nothing, you were likely to get him later than normal at the draft. He's paying off big dividends.

yeah i was just thinking earlier today that the main reason why i don't watch much of the sox games (other than the fact that baseball is boring. face it, it is) is due to how grating i find hawk and dj. now if they would have their lil spats with greater frequency, i'd be glued to the screen..
