a) is your name joshua or joe? i am confused.
b) tell me about the cool stuff you are doing this summer.

hi cake my name is joe shea (tho my last name is spelled in some completely bonkers unpronounceable way it is in fact pronounced like shea) so jho shea see - i went to vermont for a couple weeks in june to study and practice buddhism w/my teacher - then i went to tomales bay california to celebrate my uncles 60th birthday and i ate so many oysters because i love them - when i came back i moved from the apartment i lived in in brooklyn for the last 6.5 years - because i have no money - into my friends apartment around the corner while theyre in cape cod and turkey - its actually a much nicer apartment but theyre giving me a deal - as soon as i finish the website im launching a new business offering web and print design mac tech support emarketing and video services - on sunday im having a bbq in my new backyard which u r totally welcome to come to - im making ribs and pina coladas

i was born in california and have lived in boston-vermont-new york for most of my life and in general have an un midwestern style of being - oysters are the absolute best

oh hi joe thanks for the watsup. sounds like you are having a pretty awesome summer. moving is always a drag and that magical ladder looked cool, but it is good that you are moving to a better place (i don't mean you're dying). i would love to come to your bbq but i am over the oceans. this summer i am working on my phd in the day, getting ready to move to munich, and getting a short film ready in the evenings, shooting in ny at the end of august. lemme know when your business is up and running (perhaps with a post to this bløg) because i am a fan.

p.s. i don't like oysters. they just taste like seawater to me : \

same - i didnt realise not chewing was a thing that ppl did. u cant get that true oyster-y goodness if u dont

Brooklyn Based has some interesting news from Williamsburg’s Diner empire: Bonita will close on August 15, due to conflicts with the landlord. The good news is: Caroline Fidanza (the executive chef at Diner, Marlow, and Bonita) is opening up a place of her own, called Saltie’s, at 328 Metropolitan. She’ll be serving “pastries, sandwiches, ice cream, and as much good food as we can produce out of a small space.” And some more good news: “After months of legal complications, Pies ‘n’ Thighs is about to begin construction on their new space on South 4th and Driggs, and we hear the new menu will include a killer hot dog.”

its super sweet where im at has amzing huge tv and i have been watching everyday them ride by castles and sunflower fields

im sure it's a v. pleasant bike ride but one of the worst sporting events o.a.t.

no its great there are fascinating and hilarious sociological aspects - also there is a v important polka dot jersey - and of course let us not forget of the peloton

seeing this it dawned on me that im a nap true believer - a good feeling of fellowship with those who nap overtook me

Napping is one of my favorite things to do. I'm also excellent at it which helps.

best kind of naps:

disco nap
power nap
weekend afternoon sports viewing nap

Those are good. I think I may <3 all naps tbh.

I was about to say "my favourite nap is the after dinner nap followed by shower followed by party time" then i realised you guys already have a word for that -- disco nap! how about that!

only type of nap that is bad is "surprise nap"

agreed - especially for spaniards since theyre always eating dinner at midnight and hitting teh club after and staying out all nite - they be needin a nap - they also do siesta - two naps a day those bastards

I would do siesta every day if I could.

Also T, what the hell is a surprise nap? Are you a narcoleptic?
