BREAKING my new ilx css is called lagoon.css and its an update of old.css encouraging readability in the form of line spacing and max-witdh, also removed some borders and replaced the unfilled/filled bullet updated thread notification with bold/normal font weight thread titles, give it a try folks let me know what u think ill prob tweak it after i use it for a while

its prob the best writing platform ive ever used, i think its visually really well designed and the writing interface seems fine you write right onto the page instead of having some "dashboard" or "editor" or whatever which is good, obvs is pretty constrained as far as what you can do with formatting which is necessary when ur a platform otherwise everything becomes a huge mess, and ya its not really "a blog" as its not centered around a reverse chronological feed, havent really dug into its social aspects and whatnot, theres also the whole thing where its a platform but also a publication that pays ppl to write which is kinda interesting and timely

i tired to write on tumblr a while ago and they totally changed the interface to where u basically cant write anything long its just a wee txt box now

I just write in TextEdit and paste into whatever but maybe I'm dating myself to before GUIs were even a thing

do you know if gifs work on medium, and if they do, can you make them so they don't play unless you mouseover? asking for a friend because that would be useful for making short gif stories, evil guide dog style. the infiniteloop gif doesn't work so well for those

agree and the cool thing is if you meet laggzz you can then kinda hear him in your head talking when you read something he writes it's cool

let's do a podcast. half an hour each week knocking a hot button issue back and forth, taking thought by the ear and leading it. just spitballing but some ideas for topics: airline food, black/white ppl:differences, men/women:differences, ppl looking at their phones all the time, apple watch, ariana grande

podcast idea: some ppl reading and reacting to their twitter feeds real time

actually, if that is not the basis of many podcasts already i would be surprised

a pod of ppl just reading tweets wld be pretty good
