culture watch
whats the deal w/these tshirts?

http://i40.tinypic.com/vxz393.jpg http://i42.tinypic.com/ruxue0.jpg

these tshirts have been showing up a lot on the street so i decided to analyze them:

is the 1st one some sort of back to the land movement like we shouldnt use coat hangers because our ancestors didnt use them and so its prob more healthier to go w/that example. or its a mommy dearest type thing to not use wire hangers cause thats low class. it could be people who think hangers are poisonous because theyre made from lead or just somehow bad? i dont know which is why im asking.

the second one i feel like i have a pretty good handle on. its like imagine when u lying on yr back gazing up into the night sky silently mouth "life..." only it might be more like screaming life into the night sky because of the large font size. its quite magnanimous yet cosmic. i include this shirt in my survey only because im surprised that there is enough of a critical mass of people that experience life though my eyes to make printing a run of tshirts profitable.

so i guess these are two main types of people those who are against coat hangers and those who reside in a cosmic mindstate.

kinda want that no hangers one actually -- i mean i mostly throw my clothing on the ground anyway so i might as well let potential mates know this in advance

future global naming conventions
the search for identity

http://i39.tinypic.com/kcgr5d.gif

at birth children will be given one of a small number of WC3 approved names like john_smith or chang_han. that child upon showing signs of sustained maturity (usually occurring around the 27th birthday) will be ceremonially bestowed their new completely unique adult name such as "psychologicals vasquez" or "country matters jagger."

NYE?

goole, Friday, 30 January 2009 18:24 (seventeen years ago)

possible contenders:

  • memorial day (all the good movies come out)
  • labor day (barbeques)
  • arbor day (trees)
  • flag day (flags)

max, Friday, 30 January 2009 18:24 (seventeen years ago)

i'd say new years but it's the least american holiday out of all (besides chanukah i guess) so i think you gotta say halloween esp if you wanna feel like a kid again

tale of the enchanted wood jews

http://i40.tinypic.com/2lt0nlu.jpg

this is one of those experiences where you dont have to guess what comes next. everything flows effortlessly towards resolution strings welling their approval. 007 looks really nice in a dirty face. he gleams and the dirt gleams along in agreement. the digital forest is totally rolling balls and theres some orgasmic snowflakes hella losing their shit. this is meant im assuming as some sort of statement of ordinary magic. the juxtaposition is perhaps... bonus.

70 years ago some irl starving hunted people were brave and loved each other. fuck this movie more or less.

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 04:36 (seventeen years ago)

i saw it on the internet a few weeks ago and it was a bad movie :(

i like to fart and i am crazy (gbx), Tuesday, 3 February 2009 04:54 (seventeen years ago)

what is bathos again i kind of think it is this, right???

Lamp, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 05:07 (seventeen years ago)

haah i cant believe i forgot to mention the entire movie is in broken english - they speak like 1 generation russian americans - in the screenwriters experience maybe this is how polish jews talk when theyre hiding from nazis in the forest no???? i dont know why none of this shit makes any sense????

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 05:19 (seventeen years ago)

*the super jewy city jews speak in full sentences and sound really jewish and talk abt pointless bullshit all day like philosophy and politics

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 05:23 (seventeen years ago)

its an inverse of the traditional jew hierarchies dont u see those smart city jews arent so smart at HUNTING GERMANE SKILLZ or to a life of old testament hardship under the leadership of moody britz

Lamp, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 05:48 (seventeen years ago)

o yes I GOT THAT PART

ice cr?m, Tuesday, 3 February 2009 13:59 (seventeen years ago)
