lunch tragedy

i had some leftover braised chicken thighs bacon and acorn squash from yesterday so i striped the chicken from the bone and mashed it together w/the squash and bacon and put it in the microwave for three minutes i then took congealed bacon/chicken fat which i had set aside threw it in a pan over medium heat till it melted and started cooking a chopped up clementine in there then i cut up half an avocado to add post cooking and i sliced up half a fennel and put that in w/the clementine and went over to retrieve the chicken from the microwave and the bowl it was in was hot so i was handling it gingerly by the edges and just as i went to put it on the counter it slipped hit the corner of the counter shattered spilled chicken and squash all over the floor and inflicted the damage to my hand u see above which is quite deep and will prob require stitches and is in the most inconvenient spot - i ate the fennel clementine and avocado anyway fuck it

this is why i don't eat lunch

yah i should look into that

by the same logic i could argue that this is why i dont eat bacon

bacon is too good - so is lunch tho - jeez

i have eaten two clementines today tho

i also have a third clementine AND an apple AND a pear with me -- it's a veritable fruitocopia in my purse

my hand isnt bleeding too bad but its weird thats a loose spot for skin and its sliced and hanging wide open and u can see the flesh below the skin if that makes sense - looks like itll just keep reopening forever if i dont get stitches - really dont want to deal w/the hospital

its not bleeding at all anymore just sitting there a little window to the inside of my body - i put a bandaid on there - still havent cleaned up the chicken - im pretty angry w/that chicken tbh

yeah i would leave the chicken right where it is until it's learned not to hurt you and has thought about what it's done

i sliced the middle finger on my left hand down to the bone trying to pit an avocado once.

i had to have a specialist surgeon repair two tendons and a nerve and then went to 6 months of physical therapy and still only have about 75% mobility with that finger.

yes i still love avocados.

oh man i was listening to "classic soft rock" on the subway yesterday and listened to "you can do magic" probably at least 3 times -- a friend of mine made himself a shirt with the opening lyrics to the song on it -- it is a spiritual thing

Basically any Magic song between 1975 to 1983 is spiritual. The only reason it stops at 1983 is because that Cars song killed it.
