when I shower I keep my feet far the fuck away from the water

I won't lie. I've totally gone more than a month before. Especially when I had a shitty clawfoot tub that potentially could've tipped over if I were to sit on the edge of it.

I'm at about once every week now.

About once a week I'll get real up close and personal with them, getting down on the shower floor and scrubing the fuck out of them. But I give them a quick swipe of the loofah every time I shower.

you're sposed to do something more than get em wet in the shower, huh?

crazy talk

The worst is when you haven't scrubbed them in a while and the area next to your achilles tendon turns into a little dirt reservoir.

how's life, Monday, 1 July 2013 17:37 (eleven years ago) link

Exactly! What's going on inside my socks that all the dirt collects there?

I don't get it...? Why wouldn't you wash your feet while your taking a shower? It takes like a minute. What would be the point of washing other parts of your body, but not your feet, especially since they tend to be smelliest body part if not washed?

Tuomas, Tuesday, 2 July 2013 12:57 (eleven years ago) link

Very far away.

how's life, Tuesday, 2 July 2013 13:01 (eleven years ago) link

Do they fuck tend to be the smelliest part of my body when unwashed

dj hollingsworth vs dj perry (darraghmac), Tuesday, 2 July 2013 13:01 (eleven years ago) link

It takes like a minute.

Over a decade, that's 60+ hours. You do not get your pointless hygiene time back at the end of life. get wet = wash

(also I know I'm going to fall in the shower eventually, I'd prefer to have both feet on the tub floor when it happens)

should be an option for "I walk through the suds on the floor of the shower, that counts right?"

Why's this a mens thing? Also do none of you ever take baths?

Why's this a mens thing?

homo2 made a comment on fb about men with gross feet, and i decided i'd poll a small sample of mens.

Ah! Gotcha.

I don't take baths (unless I am somewhere where there is no shower) cos standard baths aren't really made for people my height.

I guess I'm pretty disgusting cos I only thoroughly wash my feet if they feel dirty. My wife *would* tell me if they were smelly though.

Just noise and screaming and no musical value at all. (Colonel Poo), Sunday, 7 July 2013 12:04 (eleven years ago) link

I have a stall, so baths are out. When I had a bathtub I hated it: a bitch to clean, yes, and I hated the thought of suppurating in that water.

A deeper shade of lol (Alfred, Lord Sotosyn), Sunday, 7 July 2013 12:55 (eleven years ago) link

i could only take a bath if I folded my torso Transformers style #beingtallblues

Neanderthal, Sunday, 7 July 2013 13:29 (eleven years ago) link

what the hell, wash the feet every day for the sheer pleasure of it imo, what's all this "I can use that time for something else" ~the shower is the something else you're saving the time for~

All bathtubs should be 6 feet long instead of the much more common 5 feet. Very comfortable after a long day's work. Though I don't feel clean unless I briefly shower afterwards for 2 minutes or so.

Lee626, Sunday, 7 July 2013 15:41 (eleven years ago) link

Sadly the only bath ive taken in 5 yrs is a sitz bayh #gettingold

I try to remind myself daily that it takes all sorts and variety is the spice of life etc but every now and again a vegan tells me footwashing is what its all about and i suffer a major attitudinal setback idk

dj hollingsworth vs dj perry (darraghmac), Sunday, 7 July 2013 19:49 (eleven years ago) link

Every other shower. But I usually take two showers a day.
