"She Makes My Day" is a pretty decent pop record, isn't it?

I suppose there was a kinda stylish thing going on in "Addicted To Love", as well. Not too stylish, but still a good minor 80s symbol.

I think he was as integral to the 80s as slub suits, flick haircuts and white socks. I like that swingeing claymore sound in 'Simply Irresistible'. And the bare arse of that girl on the cover of 'Pressure Drop'. I think he was a proto-Robbie-Williams. In that, apparently, word has it that he is a twot.

why the fuck is this on I Love TMI?

"Salvation Army FUCK!" (Neanderthal), Saturday, 20 March 2021 13:29 (one year ago) link

Because he was still alive when this thread was created and they didn't want him to know they were talking about him.

I don't mind that Neanderthal asked this question. Nor do I mind that a Robert Palmer thread would be on TMI.

Riptide hasn't gone out of print, has it? I had finally decided to listen to the whole thing after 35 years, but I can't find it on streaming or on iTunes. I know it was there before because I wrote it down.

It's on the streaming service that dare not speak its name.
