well she defrauded people out of like $300,000, but I agree it's not the most tear-jerking crime to see the uber-wealthy defrauded

i think she did stick one of her non-wealthy friends with a 65k bill for a vacation to morocco. that's bad behavior. but overall, reading about her, she seems to have been kind of reckless and delusional more than malicious. her instagram account is so joyless too--it makes me think she wasn't even that in love with the lifestyle she was risking everything to fake. a gatsby for an age of extreme disillusionment.

idk. something about her story seems really bleak to me. she is like the soundcloud rap of scam artists.

there's something a bit dead-inside about her expressions, or maybe just affectless. The other people are laughing and she's barely smirking etc

I imagine it will be somewhat similar to the fyre festival doc in this regard, which was ok but ultimately unsatisfying, because haha these people are all assholes, but, otoh, they're all assholes. And the payoff is not that big. Rich instagram assholes didn't get lured onto an island and turn into lord of the flies, they just had a shitty day. And this woman just bilked a few people and was a little faker than the rest of the fakers.
