Didn't want to add to this and take ENBB's point that we're all just repeating ourselves a bit now, but feel like I should note that I'm a woman who re-read the post many times because I just couldn't see what was creepy about it. Doesn't 'mean' anything what I think, as CGLDI says, but feels wrong not to say so.

Not to be contradictory Laurel, but no I'm not. I'm still hung up on my ex, and the thought of having actual relations with someone not him makes me feel tired and a bit queasy.

God, I don't know. I suppose it means my libido is functioning, but if it's locked into one stupid dude and there's no way I'm going to be getting it from him, I think I'd rather it weren't.

I think I've figured out this "one night hookup" thing that people do. Still not really into it as a general concept, although I see where it has some merits. Probably not going to do that anymore.

OK I just spent about ten minutes looking for that story but it was the one from mid-Mayish when I ended up hooking up with some girl who I kind of found socially odd but attractive and the evening kept getting more and more off-putting but I was still physically turned on and I figured it might be freaky and then she had a hello kitty tattoo next to a jesus fish one on her back, some lower back tattoo that I complemented to which she responded "You can't tell it covers up a name, can you?!?" and she showed me pictures of her really not-so-good art on her phone. Also she drove a VW beetle with peace sign stickers on it and referred to herself as a "free spirit" (which I apparently said was a WARNING SIGN on the girl probe thread six months earlier).

And now, we shall never speak of this again.

You're right, zora, and I'm sorry, that wasn't a my-pain-is-more-fucked-up-than-your-pain and it wasn't meant to be and I'm sorry. In fact I thank god every night that my bed is empty when I get into it, so my sex drought is clearly self-imposed and I'm fine with it, and I'm sorry you are so torn.
