I would like to venture that Neanderthal's post was only moderately creepy. I don't understand the Cecil B. Demented ref, so maybe that holds the key, but I say his post was only at like 55%-65% creepy, given the currently establish creep capabilities of this board.

OK listen, I think that it was probably just worded unintentionally awkwardly but, as a woman, I have to say that

i think it was pretty clear from the preceding sentence -where he referred to how she was leaving town, so if anything happened it would just be fling - that he was talking about hitting on her, not raping her. why would anyone's first assumption be that he is talking about raping her???

I don't think it was that clear, J. The fist sentence didn't even seem connected to the second imo. As I said earlier I think it was just really poortly worded in very unaware way.
