yeah, even though i bit her really badly, my mum still thought it was important. apparently when i was two i got really jealous of my sister getting breastfed a year after i was weened, and would throw hissy fits.

Earlier than that--the problem with breastfeeding, in the early-to-mid 20th century, was that you couldn't deliver an exact dose of feeding and you might end up feeding the kid at 11:06 instead of right at 11:00.
