xp I meant the STN, not my period--that usually lasts 3-4 days (sometimes 1 or 2). And my husband had a vasectomy 15 years before I met him, so I don't have to worry about that.

The pregnancy dream that I talked about on the 77 What's Happening thread is the only one I've had that I can remember.

My sex drive has been almost zero lately. Like, I haven't even gone looking for pr0n to kill time. I think I've only rubbed one out about twice in the last month. I've heard that's a sign of depression, but I don't think that's what this is. My day to day life is typically upbeat and I'm not dwelling on any weighty problems, but sex just seems to be something my mind/body isn't gravitating toward recently.

Guess I'm not fishing for solutions, just reassurance that I'm not broken.

Eh, thats basically how I operate 80% of the time (even in a relationship, which has been an issue).

I think you're alright. I like to think my libido alternates between "healthy", as they say, to nonexistent, both for significant periods of time - I'm reasonably certain that this is differentiated from out-and-out depression, which I think I've dallied with once or twice in the past.

being in a body is so weird, like you have to put other stuff into it to stay alive and then go unconscious for several hours each time the planet goes around and then sometimes you need to mix with other people and there is this whole body of mythology and epic poetry and hbo series built around it

that said i think it is unhealthy to go for a long period of time w/o having sex; it's not conducive to mental health etc. we naturally feed off of the earth, everything we take in as food comes from the earth, but by way of the sun and the moon

@xpac5896 In '69 I was just out of the Marine Corps and two tours in the Nam. I spent that summer in my VW bus with my dog travelling the California Coast and Oregon trying to come back home. I was lucky enough to be in Big Sur that beautiful September weekend to be part of one of the most magical times, the Big Sur Festival. CSN and later Y helped me find a life again. God I love these guys and their music!!! It will live longer than we will!
