When I was a teenager, I had one or two days a month of obsessive horniness, every month from the time I was 14-15 to a year or so after high school. I never kept track of the days that it happened (just the months), but I do suspect that it was hormonal in origin. It's come back on occasion for 2-3 month stretches.

For me it's less a seasonal thing (though there is that, sometimes) than sheer blind panic at this huge important part of basic human existence being totally absent from my life. I can't sleep, I don't give a shit at work, I'm constantly on edge and at the point of snapping at people or breaking down in tears and it's making basic social interaction even harder, which is not conducive to solving the problem. It's making me wish prozac was as effective at killing my sex drive as almost every other antidepressant/anti-anxiety med has been- wouldn't get me any closer to getting out of this but at least I wouldn't have the urgent miserable need to get off two or three times a day. Yes, okay, TMI, but that's the name of the board.
