it is actually smaller than my hand.
does anyone have any experience trying to use one? is it any good? for a basic four track on which i will mostly be recording voice, guitar, and piano, will it sort me out? if not what will?

No, but it has a cool digital picture of a tape recorder, and it comes in a reusable Paper Foam Box. Great for you and mother earth.
