tuning peg gone bad

On my nylon string. Had to dig out my steel string for a lesson. Ended up changing it out later myself with some guidance from my tech guy, which was kind of fun but took longer than expected.

The one I replaced was already a replacement and on backwards- it was a treble system used for the bass- which I copied and then had to undo. So then I went ahead and replaced the bottom system right away instead of waiting. And then I had this problem I often have when tuning the high strings that they come loose and I have to start over again. Always seem to forget that I can get away with two loops on the bass strings but need three on the treble to hold.

Many years ago, one of the bushing grommets once flew off my only guitar during the first song in my band's set at a high profile gig in front of hundreds of people.
Was horrendously out of tune and absolutely miserable throughout the set.

Wedged a piece of toothpick in there as a temp fix ahead of the following night's show, and it's still in there.
