This could be different to your favourite albums or whatever, but what are the albums or singles that influenced you to start making music? This could also be interpreted in a 'what would your All Back to Mine / Late Night Tales selection look like'?
I'll post mine in a bit.

Forgot to answer my own question. Ten releases that have influenced me to make music. This was a harder exercise than it seemed, because I kept questioning the difference between really loving an album and to what extent it actually had an impact on my sound/aesthetic preferences... But here it is. Mostly ugly white blokes:
Talking Heads - Stop Making Sense (film)
Kid Creole & the Coconuts - Tropical Gangsters
Pere Ubu - Dub Housing
The Boo Radleys - Giant Steps
The Beach Boys - Smiley Smile
Tom Waits - the Frank Trilogy
Dead Rat Orchestra - (live performances)
Black Dice - Beaches & Canyons
of Montreal - Hissing Fauna, Are You The Destroyer?
Animal Collective - Sung Tongs
Obv there's a lot more stuff out there. I mean, Autechre are so important to opening up this world of music that I always go back to, but it's not really audible in the kind of stuff I'm doing RN. I'd say Kate Bush too, but that's more of a recent thing and she's a very obvious reference point, I feel. Also, loads of dub, funk, hip hop, world music and dance music but no specific releases to encapsulate these.
