Rabies up in punx! I will so regret this, but here's the band I played guitar in (I should be mostly left channel..first thing you hear in the first song, anyhow) before we broke up and we all moved away.

Music was live and sloppy in a basement, recorded for posterity in like a few hours the afternoon before our final show. Vox in post.

And fyi we named the band at the very last moment before our first show. It was something the other guitar player's brother had spray painted in all caps across his skateboard ramp.

So yeah.

The venue streams over awdio.com - that was recorded by a friend in NYC. I'll let you know when we play there again.

Cool. You should do the same if by some circumstance you wind up playing NZ.

I remixed a Title Max commercial using free audio software. Unfortunately I didn't have the sound file for the actual commercial. I found it today on youtube.

Anyways a couple years ago I went ahead and made this remix without the real "got your money" intro which inspired me to make it in the first place: http://www.divshare.com/download/7361316-0f1

first proper track with serious effort made in many, many months: house jam with all sorts of percussion and piano samples. Unmastered, and heard on two computers, but only one set of speakers, so I haven't how it'll sound elsewhere. Hope it's good.

Fetchboy, Friday, 7 August 2009 15:44 (sixteen years ago)

Because I can't convince myself I sound any good, I am putting this extract up for yon perusals. This is from a rather longer instrumental called "Winterbell", in which I sing a verse at the end of the piece.

The music is by Rooftop Access (aka me bloke).

http://rooftopaccess.net/audio/winterbell%20snippit1.mp3

I'm a bit too buried in reverb for my liking, but eh.

kshighway, Tuesday, 1 September 2009 23:15 (sixteen years ago)

Is it supposed to be only 13 seconds long? Nice guitar sound, what gear did you use?

the visible spectrum is rainbows (snoball), Wednesday, 2 September 2009 08:52 (sixteen years ago)

Yeah, it was a half-joking "punk" song I wrote during my senior year in high school. The gear isn't great, but isn't awful.

I used:
falsetto
black Fender Strat (Mexican) in dropped D tuning
awful, awful 15watt Crate amp with built-in gain turned up
Audacity (for recording)

And that was it.

kshighway, Wednesday, 2 September 2009 15:52 (sixteen years ago)

I need to buy a Jazzmaster, basically.

Lynskey, Thursday, 3 September 2009 22:28 (sixteen years ago)

Hi guys!

My guy has done another Peter Gabriel remix for the Real World website. You can download samples of various songs and upload remixes to rate.

This is his version of "Games without Frontiers" and like his usual best stuff it's ambient and moody and pretty damn good.

http://www.realworldremixed.com/remix.php?remix_id=0kMlgkYb6PAKYF5R

You have to have a login to be able to vote on it/comment, but that costs nothing. Listen and rate if you want! Its v good.
