Thoughts? Had a bunch of this sent to me for demo purposes and it floored me. Not as exciting as stuff that destroys your guitar, but one of the better mid price loop solutions I've seen - that programmable 5 loop streets for $280.

New version of MWFX Judder out and in stock as of today. I bought a Glitch on the basis of the video of the Judder above and love it, it's a massively fucked-up beast.
I should also point out I did buy a Warped Vinyl from JJJ as discussed upthread and although I can't get it to work the way I want to (or how I thought I would get it to work) it really is a thing of beauty, Thanks JJJ?

Aldo, have you seen the Dwarfcraft Gears and ARF yet?

Also did I mention how much I love the Knobs YouTube demos? Because good lord.
Caroline Wave Cannon MK II just showed up today and it is (without hyperbole) the best thing that admits to being a quote unquote distortion I have ever had in my store.

Those dwarf craft pedals look right up my street, on want list.

I know. I swore I wasn't adding any lines this month. I lied. Just became a dealer for function fx, who only have one pedal out (right now) but it's awwwwwwwesome.

Don't typically think of myself as a big "pedal guy" but I spent a while at the local super-fancy guitar store playing around with pedals yesterday and it was so much fun and now I'm like "I think I need a chorus pedal!??!!?". I'm going back after work to get a used Earthquaker Ghost Echo which seems very niche but a niche I think I fit into, also I want all the other Earthquaker pedals, so crazy-sounding and -looking.

Oh you want a chorus pedal? I just bought this from jjj and it literally is the most glorious thing I have ever heard in my entire life:

― I Am Curious (Dolezal) (DJP), Monday, 27 July 2015 17:27 (ten years ago)
I have very mixed feelings about chorus, it is such a dated sound (I guess most effects are dated but chorus sounds like music/eras that I'm not as interested in replicating), but I'm looking for ways to play around with my non-distorted tone. I had fun messing around with a couple of chorus pedals yesterday.
― Immediate Follower (NA), Monday, 27 July 2015 17:32 (ten years ago)
The Luxe pedal sounds nice.
I like the Small Clone chorus that I have.
The Ghost Echo is awesome.

(luxe sounds great btw. fwiw i've been using a jacques meistersinger for years and never felt a need for another chorus after that)
― resulting post (rogermexico.), Monday, 27 July 2015 22:17 (ten years ago)
My chorus go tos are the catalinbread Callisto, the Dr. Scientist Cosmichorus, the Mr. Black Doublechorus, and the Greenhouse Stonefish. The only reason the luxe isn't on that list is that it is technically not a chorus. More on that if people want to nerd out.
The big MXR analog chorus is also cool.

I have the Deluxe Mona Wah on the order, and I was still going back and forth on the Super Fuzz. I'll add it, and if you don't want it, someone will.

The Black Cat Mona features a special custom tuned Black Cat inductor, as well as the newly engineered Black Cat wah pot, which is like nothing else on the market. These features allow the Black Cat Mona to be used as a sophisticated tone-sculpting tool instead of a mere novelty quack machine.

but I WANT a mere novelty quack machine
I mean, a quacking guitar, who doesn't want that

I've been curious about these forever but they don't have a dealer anywhere near me. So when I was in DC last week I made a special trip out to the suburbs to a weird small guitar store at 10 a.m. to play around with the Galaxie 4. I like the hollowbody deluxe model more than the solidbody but all of the hollowbody colors/finishes are way too flashy for me. So then I get back to Chicago and yesterday I wander into the local fancy guitar store and of course NOW they are carrying DiPinto guitars too. I think I like the natural mahogany finish the best, even though it's probably the most boring:

I'm a boring guy, I can't have a sparkly guitar with a psychedelic headstock.

Even the black hollowbody Galaxie 4 is pretty flashy: https://reverb.com/item/513452-di-pinto-galaxie-4-deluxe-2015-black-white

Straight up tremolo? Probably the Black Cat mini trem. If you want harmonic tremolo I love the Catalinbread Valcorder. If you want to go full on crazy, the Chase Bliss Gravitas.
― a strawman stuffed with their collection of 12 cds (jjjusten), Monday, 7 December 2015 06:48 (ten years ago)
FYI Elvis, if you want that EHX I will hook you up, just give me time to order it.

the super pulsar looks fantastic, definitely on my list of future pedal acquisitions
picked up a thorpyfx muffroom cloud over the weekend - holy shit, this thing is incredible, basically the platonic ideal of a big muff-style fuzz.

jjusten - sent you an email this morning...
― Elvis Telecom, Thursday, 10 December 2015 05:08 (ten years ago)
Follow-up, my wife got me the Earthquaker Hummingbird tremolo and I can't tell how I feel about it yet. It doesn't really have any subtlety or transparency at all, though I realized it's supposed to be that way. I tried the Valcoder at the guitar store too and wasn't crazy about it. The guitar store guy had me try the Moog MF Trem and that was better but I was confused by the relationship between the controls in the limited time I tried it.
I also tested out the Zvex Mastotron fuzz, which I've been curious about for a long time, and I LOVED it. Gnarly sounds but you can always still hear the notes. I've been using the Fender Blender for crazy fuzz leads for a while but you can't really use it on chords because it just turns into BLXLCHCLSHCLHLCHSKKSHKS. Is there anything else in the Mastotron vein I should be checking out before I buy that? I know there are 8 billion fuzz pedals out there.

It would be cool at gigs to hear "candle" rather than "9 volt," as in "aw crap...hey, do you have an extra candle I can borrow for my fuzz? I'll give it right back after the set."
