First working demo of this song, first time we played it through and recorded through laptop mic, so apologies about the shonkiness. I play guitar and vox and wrote the lyrics. Songwriting wise I'm fairly pleased with it but I'd like suggestions on how it could be improved (besides practicing and tightening up and using proper recording Equipment I mean)

I always feel trepidation about posting about my music project. I suck at self-promotion. But I've been uploaded a song a week so far in 2012 - up to 22 now - on Bandcamp (and now Aurovine as well). It's gotten a handful of downloads, but nothing near the attention some of my earlier releases received so I suspect I've already moved into "I liked the earlier stuff better" territory where I say that XXX is the best album I've made in years.

recorded on my phone, my new year's resolution was to learn folk/fingerstyle guitar and it's going ok, this is my first attempt at writing a lil something, in open C which a homie put me up on as the key to the whole fahey school of playing (NOT to compare myself with the man hahaha)....anyway at the beginning i'm trying to remember how it's supposed to go and i suck basically but my little girl is squealing and laughing and making faces at me and i think makes it actually a pretty nice little thing, but that's on her not my terrible chops...though i play it right a few times

but you could fit what i know about "dubby deep house" in a thimble

it reminded me of burial just cuz of the vocal chop up thing, but that's probably just because burial is the only thing remotely like this that i've listened to a lot.
