― Chriddof, Friday, 25 April 2008 14:08 (eighteen years ago)
Dear Mr. Chriddof:
It seems clear, at least to me, that you despise most music, in the sense of the word that the electorate holds it. I would, therefore, greatly appreciate the challenge of turning your efforts into popular anthems, were you inclined to offer me the opportunity. My e-mail address can be discovered via the first link on the left below this post. Should I fail in my endeavour, you can at least be sure you did not fail in yours.
Regards,

The Mighty Sandy Heath Transmitters - Sweethearts Of The Fallout
Haven't made a new track in ages. This is one of the first tracks I made almost entirely in Reason (although I had to use Acid Pro/Sound Forge to record the vocals which are all performed by yours truly). There are a few things I wish I could change (sometimes the vocals are too loud, and they come in quite abruptly sometimes). But let me know what you reckon.

"Rock Out" needs a better title: "You Listened to This So You Must Be Gay (Your Wife Caught You Jerking Off While Looking at Pics of Dicks)." (cf Anal Cut, the thread on that band that made the album about George W. Bush, etc.)

A couple of newly posted live tracks wherein the drums are prominent in the mix (almost uncomfortably so for me):

Very pretty power pop Steve - I like the nice tight stops and starts. Good lyrics too. Actually this is pretty fucking excellent!

I was mucking about with Reason, a bugle, a tin whistle, a drum and a hell of a lot of echo and reverb. Left all the mistakes in and did the vocal in one take (you can tell). Still I quite like this one, and at least I can say I've had a go at punk/dubstep (punkstep?!)

this is a remix a friend did of a very rushed track mostly built out of softsynths in reason and hybrid. i don't particularly like it, but it's something different for us anyway

The Snickerson Brothers, a fake band me and my brother had ten years ago:
http://www.myspace.com/snickersonbros
The concept was that they were uber-corny American wannabe Anglophiles with delusions of grandeur. Some of the songs are pretty cute though.
All the songs were recorded on a Radio Shack tape deck.
The entire album we made is available for free as a zip file.

I made a westbound-ish funk track using nothing but garageband synths. Kind of pleased with it. It's really not a whole song, just a bunch of add-a-track loops. Once the other instruments all cut out, there's just an overlong percussion jam, so don't feel obligated to listen to that part:
