HELP! - my apple iPhone 3G is SO SLOW after upgrading to iOS 4

i upgraded my iPhone 3G's OS last nite to iOS 4 cause i heard it was going to be awesome but my iPhone 3G is SO SLOW now i want to throw it at a wall-- HELP ME with my iphone 3G and iOS 4!! I think its stupid that a NEW software upgrade will make my iPhone actually go SLOWER and act mire stupid. it freezes up all the time and a lot of the apps crash as soon as you open them or whenever i try to purchase a song. someone please help me with a solution or show me how to get my old OS back please i need to use my iPhone for work a lot and it is really annoying how slow it is now.

this is really a problem!!

someone please offer advice on my iPhone 3g with iOS 4 going slow problem!

so I'd held off on updating bcz I couldn't be arsed waiting for hours and everything worked fine as it was and updates usually make shit buggy

but on Friday one of my apps (WhatsApp) asked me to re-approve it or something, after not connecting for almost two weeks. I did, and it (apparently) made ALL of my purchased apps fuck up, in that tapping them makes a launch screen appear for less than one second, before the whole thing crashes

so I finally updated to iOS 4 and redownloaded most of my apps, a process taking close to seven hours in all

24 hours later all the apps are mini-launching then crashing again.

any ideas?
