Easter has "Rock N Roll Nigger" and damn do I love that song. I think that's what got me into Smith... I have Horses and Peace and Noise, which are both good. I would have to recommend Horses as a must have for anyone into Patti Smith, but I haven't heard everything she's put out. Horses/Land of a Thousand Dances has to be my favorite song on the Horses album. There's something very primal about her lyrical approach that grabs my attention.
You fucking asswipe! How dare you come onto this thread saying that word!!!!! God you make me happy I hate white people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can think of lots, I'm so easy w/ my rating system. Although, actually, if 10 means a perfect record (which it SHOULD) I guess I can't really think of anything either. I'm glad I didn't take maths with stats.

"Now, why have I done this? Is this only for shock-value? Well, if all the niggers started calling each other 'nigger,' not only among themselves, which they do anyway, but among the ofays. If President Kennedy got on television and said: 'I'm considering appointing two or three of the top niggers in the country into my cabinet' - if it was nothing but nigger, nigger, nigger - in six months 'nigger' wouldn't mean any more than 'goodnight,' 'God bless you,' or "I promise to tell the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help me God - when that beautiful day comes, you'll never see another nigger kid come home from school crying because some ofay motherfucker called him a nigger." - Lenny Bruce
Marilyn Manson covered "Rock N Roll Nigger" on his dead to the world tour and cities started threatening to ban him for singing the song. So what did he do? He got a friend of his who was black to sing it with him at shows. Does that make the black man who sang the song racist too Adrian? Or are you just running out of excuses to bitch and sound ignorant? Silly boy...
PATTI SMITH RULES!!! I wish i could have seen her at the CBGB with Television or the Talking Heads. Damn me for being born two decades too late....

I've been playing Dream of Life this week. The late '80s keyboard sheen and echo-lade drums suit the material. "The Jackson Song," "People Have the Power," and "Up There Down There" are the keepers.t
