• Blocks sounds from rest of domicile

• Provides barrier to smells, moisture

• Helps regulate airflow

In this half-million-dollar listing, there's a bedroom with those barn doors, a closet enclosed by one of Steven Tyler's scarves and, by my count, THREE BATHROOMS that feature only CURTAINS.

I just don't understand the appeal of interior barndoors in general.

They look rattly though. Maybe I need to see some in person.

And they sell ladders that, you know, reach the top bunk. Trying to picture how this all works without knocking holes into the wall.

in the uk attic joists are 400mm apart, about 16 inches. you might get lucky.

That set up is probably fine if you have the platform nailed to each of the studs and the chain ties into a ceiling joist.

Wait I don't understand, why are we mad at Morris Street? I think it looks incredible, I love it even though admittedly it's over the top in a certain IG-ready aesthetic and I maybe wouldn't have chosen every detail.
