I'm not a bot and i can prove it, by posting something a bot couldn't i guess :) :)

I know there can be delays of up to 2 years depending on one's itunes account usage, but can you just check that it sent ok

Yes, I indeed have expressed an interest for an invite. I am very curious to see if G+ really is "a better alternative to FB", as everybody all over the Internet seems to state. And as far as I can tell from the "interactive tour", it strips FB from unnecessary crap, adds some Twitterish functionality (?? that's an impression I get) and encloses it all within an interface, that looks way better than both of them. That all looks certainly interesting, I must admit.

Are invites still closed or did they open back up again?

everyone who I'm inviting seems to get in immediately, so I think they're open

it's weird, I sent invites to a couple ppl but they got the message that invites were closed, but when I sent an invite to a different gmail address of my own, I was able to get in
