i love this whole thing from recent vogue. i really like how their hair was done to look kind of sweaty.

yeah, that's the spread that stood out for me the most too! lots going on!

i really liked the recent valentino campaign w/frail, funerary brunettes lounging around old italian palaces

one of my favorite recent-ish vogue spreads was the one w/the brazilian girls dressed up like space age suburbanites it was really garish but interesting, sort of ludicrously out of touch

Brace yourself, cliches are coming!
This whole editorial was one of my favourites ever.http://i.imgur.com/uVEX8.jpg - link to the rest
I'll limit myself to two with Sasha Pivovarova and choose these two (although she's done loads I loved since these, I still love them):http://i.imgur.com/tNUAp.jpg - Numero 86 (September 2007) by Camilla Akranshttp://i.imgur.com/sMg94.jpg - this one was such a perfect combination of photographer, model and styling. (i-D July 2008 by Emma Summerton)
Of his recent work, I loved Steven Meisel's QVC parody for January Vogue Italia.Great cast too.
It's taking too long to decide and I'd have about 100 images & links so I'll just post what I have!

it works so well for me because the story's characters are mapped onto the 'personalities' of the designers so neatly. like of COURSE galliano is the queen of hearts, kind of a classic leibovitz trick

i really enjoyed the spread w/karlie kloss and some surfer in this months vogue - im not even really sure why, although i like the clothes they had her in but theres one picture of her standing in a suburban living room in a long pink skirt where she has this totally amazing look on her face, idk, thinks its p great and it made me think of this thread

i was totally looking at that same pic today and thinking i should post it, also the one where she is taking a picture of the swimming pool with her phone.

the picture of her in the long pink skirt is the highlight of november vogue

haha my second favorite is the one where shes talking to the guy on the beach, she has her arm crossed awkwardly behind her back in this cartoonishly sweet way that remind me of like, charlie brown animated specials, just this exaggerated and childish gesturing? for some reason im kindof fascinated by this spread
anyway i just didnt scroll down far enough heres the pic:
