lag∞n, Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:40 (seven years ago)

I’m old. That looks incredibly stupid. Herd instinct offends me to no end.

El Tomboto, Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:45 (seven years ago)

its interesting which things that were cool become popular and lame imo

lag∞n, Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:48 (seven years ago)

thanks for your input lag00n

cheese canopy (map), Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:50 (seven years ago)

my pleasure *bows deeply*

lag∞n, Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:52 (seven years ago)

like years ago just a few years before every guido was wearing a shirt w a graphic that flirtily crawled over their shoulder or onto the sleeve or whatever i ran into this guy i knew on the street and he introduced me to his boyfriend who was wearing one of those shirts, he was all hey come check out my shop i just opened around the corner and i was like yeah ok (to myself whatever), the shop was opening ceremony

lag∞n, Tuesday, 30 April 2019 23:52 (seven years ago)

i don't actually want to get yoga pants / sweat pants i don't think but i'm bored with chinos and jeans and want to try something more adventurous and fashion-y i guess. i have muscular legs and could probably pull off something a little ridic and flamboyant but i don't know where to look.

xp haha!

hahahaha it's a bridge too far for me i'm afraid

cheese canopy (map), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 00:03 (seven years ago)

although "smooth" and "flowing" have a certain appeal

cheese canopy (map), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 00:04 (seven years ago)

wait now i'm thinking that unleashing my inner hippie raver is a really good idea actually

cheese canopy (map), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 00:07 (seven years ago)

occasionally when i lived in boulder id see someone who was so deep in that culture that they looked amazing

lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 00:12 (seven years ago)

The fact that so many dudes are wearing sweatpants in public now makes me want to die. It's not a good look ever an only acceptable if you're actually doing exercise or something. Also, I've seen more unwelcome peen in the past few months from guys wearing sweatpants than I have in years. Nope.

Benson and the Jets (ENBB), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 14:38 (seven years ago)

looks good on young african americans ime, bad on everyone else

rip van wanko, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 14:56 (seven years ago)

i haven't really noticed a lot of sweatpant bulge

rip van wanko, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 15:04 (seven years ago)

Relatedly, as someone who only ever wears sweats to work out I hate how all sweats seem to be that jogger shape now. I have big legs so they look funny on me. And also I do not like giving others unwelcome peen outline in the gym.

longtime caller, first time listener (man alive), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 16:23 (seven years ago)

Yeah, I see a lot of peen in sweatpants. I don't think guys understand support undergarments in certain situations.

Yerac, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 16:27 (seven years ago)

And as google tells me, this is indeed a thing, a challenge, a hashtag. The sweatpantsbulge.

Yerac, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 16:31 (seven years ago)

The kinds of supporting boxer briefs that are best for working out imo only accentuate the bulge.

longtime caller, first time listener (man alive), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 16:33 (seven years ago)

Yeah when enbb mentioned it above I was thinking of all the loose dicks I see flapping about in sweatpants but the pics online I see it's a different arrangement.

Yerac, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 16:34 (seven years ago)

Sweats are comfortable.

I mainly wear jeans but I like those trousers that are essentially slacks and don't have the cuff at the end but still have a drawstring or elastic waist. Seems a good innovation, not least since it's unusual for the waist of the trouser to be visible anyway.

FernandoHierro, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:10 (seven years ago)

longtime caller, first time listener (man alive), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:13 (seven years ago)

i actually wear three legged sweatpants one leg is for my dick

lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:14 (seven years ago)

i'm going to go out on a limb here and admit that i have never knowingly seen a pair of "drawstring slacks"

Lil' Brexit (Tracer Hand), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:19 (seven years ago)

i don't want to see them

findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:29 (seven years ago)

i haven't worn sweatpants as an adult but am always tempted to go back to my west of scotland roots and get a nice vintage kappa or sergio tacchini number off of eBay

findom haddie (jim in vancouver), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:30 (seven years ago)

i skulk around in my gym clothes sometimes

lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:44 (seven years ago)

My bf keeps threatening to find us matching Sergio Tacchini warm ups so we look like Russian mobsters apparently. Looking at their website now--I don't hate them, I can say that much.

There's more Italy than necessary. (in orbit), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 17:47 (seven years ago)

But I think he meant the slick shiny 80s ones with like diagonal color blocking.

dope

lag∞n, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 18:01 (seven years ago)

sweatpants are at least upfront about the level of effort the wearer is putting in. i’ll take that over the countless number of cheap-looking jeans and khakis that fit horribly and are three inches too long.

call all destroyer, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 18:01 (seven years ago)

I am into that aesthetic as a couple, xpost inorbit.

Yerac, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 18:13 (seven years ago)

Yes I support this couple outfit idea. Yerac - yes the clapping is exactly what I mean. It’s not right.

Benson and the Jets (ENBB), Wednesday, 1 May 2019 18:21 (seven years ago)

I sometimes regret not buying this from a thift store, but there's no way I'd ever actually wear it:

joygoat, Wednesday, 1 May 2019 18:26 (seven years ago)

nice. i bought a black, teal, and purple one for a party but haven't worn it since. probably should take it to a thrift store so the cycle can start again.

circles, Thursday, 2 May 2019 03:19 (seven years ago)

sweats are only ever appropriate in public either going to or from the gym imo

I hate how all sweats seem to be that jogger shape now.

same. i had to scour ebay for a pre-jogger pair of nike sweatpants to replace the ones that were dying

diamonddave85 (diamonddave85), Thursday, 2 May 2019 04:26 (seven years ago)

also annoyed that champion is in style right now cuz now i can't find the nice reverse weave sweats for cheap at nordstrom rack anymore

diamonddave85 (diamonddave85), Thursday, 2 May 2019 04:28 (seven years ago)

lag∞n, Tuesday, 28 May 2019 21:45 (seven years ago)

My assortment of dashingly minimalist one-shoulder bags are starting to give me back pain. Is it Jansport time?

mick signals, Monday, 10 June 2019 15:48 (six years ago)

I had this cheapo black hanes t-shirt where I had spilled bleach right about in the spot where a t-shirt pocket would go, and it made a somewhat cool-looking, orange-whiteish splotch, so I used to wear it out -- people sometimes asked me if it was a designer t-shirt.

longtime caller, first time listener (man alive), Monday, 10 June 2019 15:59 (six years ago)

I've thought about getting some more of those and just experimenting with bleach spills.
