xps thanks! I have not tried it and now definitely will. I used to mix one of the Benefit highlighters with moisturiser but it still always ran out too quickly.

L’oreal Lash Paradise didn’t work for me but maybe I just got a bad batch because my friends eyelashes always look amazing. Their Roller Lash however is incredible for me - like a budget version of L’ancome Doll Eyes, but it lasts WAY longer (like 3 months compared with 6 weeks).

*Friend’s. I’m not always surrounded by people with amazing eyelashes, thank god.

My mascara lasts over a year. I am doing something wrong. Anyway, I want to get eyelash extensions again, mostly to keep me from rubbing my eyes so much, but they just don't look natural enough yet.

I went to Sephora about two weeks ago for the first time in ages and bought the Fenty pro filtr foundation and the universal red lip paint - both so good. I am in love with the foundation though and will be buying a lighter shade once my so-called tan fades. It stays on, stays all day even without powder, doesn’t break me out. I’m in shock tbh.

I like Lash Paradise a lot but it’s still not quite right for me. I may just revert back to Clinique eventually.

Let us know what you think! It takes about a week to reach its best state, but stays that way for a while. Ha, I don’t think you’re doing it wrong, Yerac. My mascara never runs out per se, just loses a good consistency through over-use.

Another favourite discovery of late - Urban Decay’s optical illusion primer. It’s much thicker than most primers, but doesn’t clog everything. It is literally like a second face and I love it.

For anyone with access to Boots, I’ve just bought their Stay Perfect mascara, which is one of the polymer/tubing ones (which I need because of my eyelashes’ mystical smudging powers) and it is A+ and way cheaper than my previous one (Estee Lauder).

I couldn’t get the waterproof lash paradise off and it flakes on me! Lol Yerac I also took advantage of the sale to get one of the mini Huda palettes. :)

The L’Oreal/Isabel Marant display at my nearest Boots had been heavily attacked by the time I got there but I picked up the last smoky eye palatte and lipsticks in La Butte Marshall and Palais Royal Field, all of which I’m pretty happy with. Thankfully north London seems to prefer paler lipsticks, leaving me with the ones I’d have chosen anyway.

I think I am going to try to depot some of my eyeshadow palettes.

I decided to switch up from
Estee Lauder Double Wear to my old classic fave foundation MAC Studio Fix. I still love DW but I was getting a little tired of liquid foundation & i love SF’s coverage & silky texture.

i think i have finally hit a good spot where I am happy with my makeup generally, and can just tweak brands here & there without meandering from dissatisfying product to product like i was 10 years ago.

I found an unopened perfect magenta Marc Jacobs lipgloss at Winners (Canadian discount fashion store) yesterday for $13. I love it.

i've been using highlighter for the first time ever these last couple of months and I love it. Just a little bit in certain places and mascara is now my quick, lowkey look.

I never made a conscious decision to stop wearing makeup but I basically have stopped? And I've actually been starting to like my face more, which has been a nice side benefit.

I've fallen hard for sheet masks though! Lechera gave me one and it has snowballed into keeping a selection on hand at all times.

oooh i want to try those. I almost bought a gold one from walgreens a couple of months back but somehow talked myself out of it.

I would love to stop wearing makeup.

i finally broke down and bought nars orgasm blush yesterday after months of lusting after it. so excited to put it on today!

Ten years later and this is still my only blush.

I think if I could get enough sleep and stop drinking alcohol completely I could forego wanting to wear makeup out. It's usually my eyes that I think look tired. But it's mostly only work and going out out where I wear it.

I still am very inspired by the one instagrammer that enbb mentioned in the thread. I never really wanted to do eyeshadow before that.

IO it's great to read you are liking your face more! you have a great face. also glad you liked the sheet mask! they seem to help even out skin tone which is apparently something i need now.

I always forget about highlighter but damn it can really brighten things up (obv) even if you’re being subtle about it.

I also finally made it to sephora yesterday and bought my winter shade in Fenty foundation - yeah it took me until now haha i haven’t been wearing much makeup lately either! I also got the FAB bendy avocado concealer for my dry sensitive under eyes and it’s pretty nice! (Fenty concealer is alas too drying for me.)

I barely wear makeup since leaving my job, I'm sort of at peace with it although I have this patch of melasma I like to cover up. I used to put it on every day but I don't have time now.

I think I'm gonna go try a lash tint and lift today. Hope I don't end up blind or looking like a Kardashian.

weird! my coworker said the exact same thing yesterday!! i was like you're gonna get a what? then i learned what a lash lift is. it's like a little perm for your eyelashes?

OK I will report more on this later but in summary: smelled like the 80s, realized what the fuck I am perming my EYELASHES, wtf this is so so dumb, results completely meh, never doing again.

for real I prefer how my lashes look after a hair dryer warmed eyelash curler plus mascara, which is how I have been doing it in under 30 seconds for approximately 30 years and not found it the least bit tedious, really.
