I have chucks as lifting shoes. Now that it’s warm out I just walk to the gym in my workout clothes, but I feel deeply embarrassed wearing the chucks outside.

They hurt my feet if I walk further than about .1 miles

maybe two years ago I realized that like half of my undergrad students were suddenly wearing (exclusively) white (mostly) hi-top chucks; I still see lots of them around even at a totally different school thousands of miles away. This was funny to me because I own a pair of white hi top chucks that are older than some of these students.

wide toebox, foam sole that falls right between minimal and medium padding, nice and light, fairly thin minimal upper, is basically the shape of my foot

nice, i never know what to get for running shoes. i have a pair of nike free rns from a couple years ago that i bought in theory as running shoes, but i decided the soles are too flexible for me to like them for that. they look pretty good, though, so i've just been wearing them for daily use lately.

yeah its tough, especially considering shoes companies nonsensical need to tinker with their designs constantly, you find something you like then have to go digging for more on ebay cause the new versions are fd up

it would take traumatic brain injury to get me to switch from Brooks for running. Other brands can approximate the for and comfort but blow up after 150 miles while Brooks will have another 150 left
