caek m/l otm about awning stripe layering. personally i would only go for short sleeves or possibly rolled up long sleeves, no layering. you do run the risk of looking like a referee or fast food employee tho.

any layering of stripey shirts with tee or tank top underneath makes me think of like Dave Navarro or some slicked back bowling alley greaser. and yes i was basically a sixth former in 1999 sporting variations on this ngl. the reason the beach boys pull off awning stripes is bc they look super casual with the short sleeves, and also a little bit preppy. however, if you must follow your inspiration, I would only wear something like a white tee underneath, and navy chinos/shorts or indigo jeans.

looking for a good crew neck sweater

like em a bit loose, in dark colours, don't mind the lil triangle thing. usually thrift these but i'm coming up dry and my current one is wasting away

I'm fine with contrast stitching in small doses, but as soon as you get super complex patterns on the back pockets I'm out

man ive noticed this calling sweatshirts sweaters situation increasing recently and just have to say what the heckin hell

sweaters are knitwear, sweatshirts are made from a cotton and/or acrylic jersey type fabric

like u know what sweatpants are right, u dont call them sweaterpants im assuming

i think the velva sheen classic crew neck sweatshirt is nicer than the ball park and its like 60% of the price. i own one in each of black, navy and heather grey

i think ive recommended them like 25 times itt but alternative apparel makes a good crewneck sweatshirt called "the champ" that u cn get for like $25

i bought a couple of those velva sheen ones mentioned by lamp at the very same time i bought my real mccoys sweatshirts and they were really, really nice! i kept the mccoys and returned the velva sheens though because i thought the mccoys were more substantial and the fit was more flattering to me (boxier)

btw that was eight years ago, people still ask me if my mccoys sweatshirts are new when i wear them.
