it really reminds me of the people in my departed grandfather's assisted living facility. they ask that family buy pants that have elastic waistbands, at the very least, because it makes life easier

also some of them looked younger than Reagan did there

navy and black is totally fine in casual wear imo - they're both dark colours, why not. but wearing two different suits at once is insane, navy and black compounds it. i mean especially when you are the president.

navy (any dark colour really) and black casual is the cornerstone of my wardrobe

they're opening a uniqlo in my metropolitan area next month and i am stoked

i ordered a bunch of everlane stuff a couple of years ago and sent it straight back. it's extremely cheap and nasty irl.

i do like my everlane backpack but their close never looked appealing.

my NYC hotel back in April was only a few blocks from Uniqlo

although I recently went in the Chicago one for about five minutes and was like "pssh this sucks" because it's like 1/5 of the size

the uniqlos are v variable store to store ime. i mostly just buy socks/underwear online from it now, and not as often as before, but when it first launched in london i remember there being two stores on the main shopping street and one always had way, way better stock.

I will not comment at this time as to my ownership of the faux-denim joggers

Thank you for that picture of Reagan. I saw a documentary
of him recently and one of the main takeaways was what a
clothehorse he was. Also tall and lean and bow legged so that everything seemed to look good on him. He wore pocket squares in his presidential addresses!

I am having a hell of a time finding decent v-neck tees, shapely (for laydeez), not boxy, of a reasonable length (I'm tall), cotton with maybe a touch (5% max) of elasticity worked in for shaping, and not fucking tissue weight.

These things used to be jcrew/banana/gap staples, but damn if I can find any atm.

Sorry men's thread, need women's v-neck tees for less than like 70 bucks, thanks.

Gap but I think we are going for different things. I am very happy with a boxy aesthetic.

navy and black are a classic combination, only depressing menswear blogs that insist you always wear fitted shirts think otherwise

interchangeable navy/black coat/sweater etc with black or v dark navy jeans and black boots is p much all i wear in winter. occasional grey and maybe a diff colour scarf, or just more black.

it looks awful but all clothes look awful on him he is ugly and tacky and dresses badly. black and navy can be a fabulous combo in more formal clothing but all rules are for ppl with no inherent sense of style
