what's a good pair of jeans with a "high" rise, that is, sits at the waist? i got a pair of 501 skinnys and those unfortunately sit below the waist. pretty awesome pair of jeans though

i think it also depends on the 501s. Levis seem to come in a completely arbitrary variety of shapes, so you can get all different kinds of 501s. My source on this is owning about 10 501s in the same size that all look totally different.

I think it was the ‘47 model repros I bought at the Levi’s store (“the original levi’s store”, if you ever played crazy taxi) and they were more waist rise

lol I guess you can still buy anti-fit jeans but it would appear the term is now so loosely applied that the snake has eaten itself

yeah i wear 1955s because they are anti fit but also somewhat modern

the rise on the 47s is a bit higher than the 55s true, but i can't pull the waist as high on the 47s because they're too slim for my uh bicyclist thighs

otm, changes year by year too. also they stretch out really fast. i just bought this pair of 501s below and they felt like a very slim fit but after a couple weeks of wearing them they are much roomier

it has a zip-in faux fur lining that adds a lot of weight. this is much heavier than any other overcoat I own.

To me it mostly says he not only doesn't have staff but also no help from his family with the most basic of things; getting dressed.
