sorry full break just means how long the pants are... if they're long enough to sort of fully meet the shoe and kind of produce a deep wrinkle that's a full break. if they just meet the shoe exactly that's no break. half is... in between.

just saying that with anything in that spectrum, I need somewhat longish socks when I sit, because the hem of the pants rises up quite a bit. it's why I was looking at those over the calf socks. haven't bought them though.

I have enjoyed Uniqlo but the Express "slim cut" Finn didn't feel very slim to me.

Just ordered some t-shirts online. The downside of losing a stone since winter is that I'm no longer sure whether I'm medium or large any more (it seems arbitrary from brand to brand). Ended up having to take back the last bunch I bought because they felt tent-like, so I'm having to order everything twice and send some back *humblebrag*

v much a 50/50 hit rate with ordering clothes online, which means unless i've actually been to a shop and tried on the brand, made note of sizes, i don't do it any more.

did buy some meermin dark brown suede shoes, which i love and are great... except they're ever so slightly too small. relying on them relaxing a bit, but even then they'll probably still be on the tighter end of "glove-like".

going on summer holiday in a month. my new girly took one look at my brown leather sandals and said I should NOT bring them. I think they're alright really, I mean what else are you supposed to wear in hot countries when you're at the beach? surely flip-flops/thongs/Havaianas are infinitely worse non?

Think they've always been fairly mainstream, I remember my friend's dad used to wear them around the house.

I actually bought my dad a pair as he saw mine and considered them utilitarian and cheap, kept asking me if they did them in his size etc, okay dad I get the hint.

Actually quite a nice thing as if I go on holiday with my folks my dad insists on swimming in the sea, as do I, so now we wear our father son adilettes on the shore, lol.

no i am now against havaianas, their ubiquity is oppressive, also they are weirdly heavy

i've always worn low cut socks but had a good amount of ankle lengths because i lived in a cold region (kinda hate wearing them in la but i have to when i wear my desert boots)

I don't think people in my area wear havaianas, or I just haven't noticed

no one gives a shit at my workplace anymore and I wear 3/4 length pants with the drop crotch, nike air presto mid tops with no-shoe socks, and a friggin t-shirt

my summer look is a faded black pocket t-shirt, canvas shorts, birk sandals. too hot and humid for much else imo. old broken-in jeans work well for pants if it's a little cooler
