on the real been experimenting with sleeping in the nude and its hit or miss

sometimes i wake up cold even when its supposed to be hot all week

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 16:35 (nine years ago)

most clothes besides socks and underwear or athletic gear don't need to be washed that frequently imo

marcos, Monday, 22 May 2017 16:36 (nine years ago)

wearing a dirty shirt is my worst nightmare

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 16:38 (nine years ago)

i'm only wearing it when i study or am inactive. when i go exercise i change clothes

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 16:44 (nine years ago)

That's def what we did with our uniform shirts & pants

dudes would starch & iron the hell out of them, then wear them for at least two weeks before washing

El Tomboto, Monday, 22 May 2017 17:58 (nine years ago)

any garment that touches the sweatiest parts (underarms, ass crack, balls, feet) gets washed weekly

the rest is debatable

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 18:06 (nine years ago)

pants and sweaters are the only thing that can go > 1 day worn before wash

flopson, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:10 (nine years ago)

I find this position reasonable, but also live in a place with adequate water and have my own washer and dryer

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:12 (nine years ago)

iirc some folks also employed significant amounts of Febreze, so you'd have your deodorant, then an undershirt, then a shirt soaked in starch until it was stiff and shiny, febreze'd all to hell. a whole lot of institutionalized microstrategies so you can have flat, flat pockets and creases that look almost painful and not completely stink up the place.

El Tomboto, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:47 (nine years ago)

just go full crust punk

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:48 (nine years ago)

socks and underwear - 1 wear before washing
t-shirts - 1-10 wears before washing depending on what i'm doing, usually on the higher end though, 1 year is only if like i went for a bike ride or did yard work or played basketball in it
pants - uh wash every 6 months

marcos, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:51 (nine years ago)

1 yearwear is only if like i went for a bike ride

marcos, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:51 (nine years ago)

flannel shirts also only every 6 months

wool sweaters are never washed

marcos, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:52 (nine years ago)

you are all gross and disgusting, except flopson, who is clearly neurotic

bought some linen shirts they're nice

ogmor, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:52 (nine years ago)

im with the flop, son

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:56 (nine years ago)

being clean is nice u guys shd get into it

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:56 (nine years ago)

tbh probably not everyone pours coffee on themselves every day, so my routine might be excessive

still, I am w/those guys

like, you can wash your shirt and it smells fresh and not like deodorant rubbed on the pits

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 18:57 (nine years ago)

what if u had kbbq

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 18:58 (nine years ago)

i'd add flannel shirts, really any shirt that goes over an undershirt you can get another day out of. at least that's what i tell myself. ppl have different stanks tho

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Monday, 22 May 2017 19:08 (nine years ago)

btw i'm not normally this scumcore i'm just sitting at the same table studying all day for 5 weeks straight isolated from the world

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 19:12 (nine years ago)

you people all probably shower every day too huh

marcos, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:13 (nine years ago)

at least twice

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 19:13 (nine years ago)

yeah sometimes if I've been outside in this cursed allergy season I do so more often than that

you try mowing the yard and then having itchy eyes and sneezing all day, you'll change your tune

fwiw whatever clothes I do yard work in get thrown downstairs next to the washer immediately

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:16 (nine years ago)

ya showering twice a day in the summer is not unheard of for me

can't get used to this US habit of bringing shoes inside the house

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 19:22 (nine years ago)

I probably don't need to wash my clothes as often as I do

but it's just nice to wear freshly laundered clothes

Number None, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:30 (nine years ago)

the contortions i will go through to avoid showering twice a day, they are extreme

call all destroyer, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:32 (nine years ago)

laundry is my hobby

tbh the one thing I've broken myself of is, if I wore a t-shirt during the day, wearing it to bed. my nice daytime t-shirts don't need that extra wear of me tossing and turning in em

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:32 (nine years ago)

I really wish I had a washer/dryer at home... that's the main reason my shirts go too long between washes

chinavision!, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:39 (nine years ago)

xp

dude that is not cool

as soon as i get in the house i change out of whatever has been outside and into my jammies

i don't let clothes that has been outside touch stuff in my bedroom except the laundry basket

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 19:40 (nine years ago)

but as it is I have to either wash them in a bucket, or take them to my regular dry cleaner (in another neighborhood) who can wash them better than the local guy.

xp

also suits basically never ever get washed except maybe once per year max

chinavision!, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:41 (nine years ago)

lol when two of my good friends started dating, one confided in me that she felt that it was gross when her boyfriend sat on her bed in his unwashed, raw denim. like every good raw denim boy he never washed them and she was like uhhh gross

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:41 (nine years ago)

lots of clean people here!

chinavision!, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:42 (nine years ago)

tbh when I was in nyc for work I had a few nice pima cotton t-shirts that were not really getting that dirty because it was super cool outside and I was at a conference half the time, and I wore each a couple times. also did the quick soak/wring out thing in the hotel sink and hung them to dry, nbd

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:43 (nine years ago)

it's going to be neck ring season tho so maybe my frequency of washes will go up

chinavision!, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:45 (nine years ago)

is ring around the collar a real thing? thought that was a detergent sales thing

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:45 (nine years ago)

btw i'm not normally this scumcore i'm just sitting at the same table studying all day for 5 weeks straight isolated from the world

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:46 (nine years ago)

i shower before and after going to the gym

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:46 (nine years ago)

but the shirt is not dirty! it's just the shirt i'm studying in

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 19:46 (nine years ago)

no u see u are laundering yourself, the shirt never touches a body that is very dirty

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:46 (nine years ago)

i wear other clothes to exercise xp

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 19:47 (nine years ago)

im not neurotic it's how i was raised, also maybe im particularly sweaty or smelly

wearing a t shirt ten time before a wash... wow

flopson, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:48 (nine years ago)

if u have worn the shirt its dirty these are the facts, it might not have dirt on it but its dirty

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:48 (nine years ago)

wow i don't think you get how adding y to a word works

k3vin k., Monday, 22 May 2017 19:49 (nine years ago)

some deep vein catholicism itt

Clay, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:50 (nine years ago)

it's true, I was born unclean and will die unclean, the best I can do is cleanse myself and my clothing

mh, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:52 (nine years ago)

ya it depends on what you got used to as a child

enter the house
take off your shoes
go to the bathroom to wash your hands and gargle
change into jammies
throw clothes in laundry basket
kiss mum hello

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 19:53 (nine years ago)

ring around the collar is real... but then again I don't wash my shirts enough

chinavision!, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:54 (nine years ago)

xp

washing your face was also encouraged but i was lazy

i n f i n i t y (∞), Monday, 22 May 2017 19:54 (nine years ago)

i was a dirtball child and teen

lag∞n, Monday, 22 May 2017 19:55 (nine years ago)

i saw people in my family get whipped for disobeying so i learnt from their mistakes

probably a catholic thing yeah
