mostly ppl who wore mock turts under flannels were samba folk iirc my youth

I feel that dudes with cobbled together cafe racers are frequently wearing sambas. I say this as someone who does these things so maybe I just notice it more.

It's almost like a wide variety of people wear sambas.

I had some in 5th-6th grade in the mid 90s. Were popular amongst soccer kids, yeah.

sambas are the shoe you buy when you want to look like you spent a little time thinking about what shoes to buy but not a lot of time

but adidas hasnt rly made any good color combos recently and i dont own any adidas at the mo but im used to wearing either of those two and playin street soccer more than on grass

I've worn a lot of the "classics" over the years but never had sambas until 2010 or so. They were the first shoe where I wore them until they were spent and immediately bought a new pair. I've gotten new ones every 12-18 months since then but after putting them on after months of winter I am not really into them this time.
