WHY CAN'T I JUST FIND GOOD KINDA-SLIM DURABLE RAW/SELVEDGE JEANS FOR UNDER $100

i've not worn uniqlo jeans but have bought other clothes from them (in japan though, not sure if that makes a difference) and i like the quality and style for the price

i like levi's for the same reasons

though ag and rag&bone are good, long lasting jeans if you can find a style you like (don't see any good ones on their sites right now), but they are more expensive

jeans don't last long.

Made 2 pairs so far this year one in striped orange and the other turquoise/green with a narrow bright green stripe.

Orange ones are very comfy.
Will make couple more before long. One brown/red tartan and one green/brown/blue stripes.

my american 501s that i bought at christmas already have a hole in one pocket. i have put my keys in there maybe 6 or 7 times total. unacceptable. i dunno i might be done with jeans. i got some nice-fitting chinos and linen trousers for summer, i'll see how i feel in september.

hopefully still improving my technique but have had seams at the pocket come undone on the turquoise and the white/red/beige striped ones so still have some way to go. Have fixed both and they're wearing ok but must be something I still need to perfect.

Yeah have made a load based on the same pair of old wrangler cords that wore out on me a few years ago.
Still perfecting things though and probably should get around to drafting a pattern. I tend to take them in a lot on what the original design was, which was pretty loose.

blue is the color of jeans, if you are deviating from that color, there should be a distinct need or ideological stance if you're replacing blue as the default color. highlight colors, such as a deep red or novelty white are allowed under certain circumstances
