Only just recently realized Century 21 sells online now. They're sort of a mixed bag but they can be great for certain kinds of thing, like dress shirts. Tempted to buy a couple of Dunhill shirts for $70 each.

old ymc red-label basic tees were my go-tos but they fucked up the new ones. thinner cheaper material and vaguely swaggier looser/longer fit/cut. think ppl may have cottoned on as ebay prices seem to have risen since i was hoovering them up

read somewhere once that gildan g64000s were p decent classic fits but i never got round to finding out

Even in NYC I think "I-went-to-berghain hangover" would be lost on a lot of people, even relatively style-conscious people. I think there's a more generic "berlin is cool" sentiment.

elmo mentioned something like this on twitter but it's one of those situations where you really come into a look or adopt something that's fashion-forward and have mixed feelings when it becomes _a thing_ some time later

re-upped work shirts and pants at frank & oak warehouse sale yday. always found their stuff overpriced for the quality (although i like the spirit of the cuts) but at 15$/shirt and 20$/pants

I feel like I need new "going out" clothes. Not like going to a club, but just going for dinner or a drink, like something I could get away with in a "nice" NYC place but casual looking. Need suggestions. Would like to avoid the Trunk Club vibe discussed above but also don't want to try to pretend I am 23.

fwiw I am 5'9" dark brown hair, brown eyes, jewy looking, and not skinny (basically have a "dadbod," i.e. I have workout muscles and a little fat over them).
