i'd wear slimmer-fitting pants with that shirt/jacket combo -- or get a jacket that's broader in the shoulders, that outfit looks awkward

yeah, agreed. The jacket and shirt look fine, but the pants don't work. I'd do diff shoes too -- the big white chuck toes really stick out with an otherwise dark outfit and look a little too casual or kid-like.

I fully admit that pair are my loosest jeans outside of weekend housework shit kickers. The rigid wash is basically shrink-to-fit and I love the color (in better light) but they are perhaps excessively cozy

I don't think blazer wearers on the west coast are attempting fashion, they're just being people who put on blazers that day

blazer wearing has become extremely default for a certain type of guy

actually yeah it's unfair for me to apply that just to the west coast. that's ex-pat smugness on my part.

plus I'm not really fashionably tbh, but I think that a blazer or sport coat + untucked shirt is a bad look.

what's currently worth buying at uniqlo iyo?

also i bought a linen shirt which feels v nice but looks a bit too much like a tablecloth. swore i would never go down this road again yet here i am. i think maybe if i wear a monochrome jacket or something over it it will disguise the resemblance.

I haven't had luck with uniqlo. I like their kids clothing but that stuff doesn't have to last as long because they grow so fast.

i go into uniqlo about once a month to see what's there but i've never bought anything there

i used to like it - the quality of the shirts has halved in the last 7/8 years.

The style doesn't suit me to begin with and the quality is usually poor. Plus it's a store I just viscerally hate being inside.

most of their bright colored shit is just totally useless to me, i dont care if you can find the same shirt in 12 colors if 11/12 of those colors are butt ass ugly

what i do like it for is like loungewear or boxer shorts.

think it's kinda had its time in a way.

there was a time when it seemed like they had hit on some impossible magic formula for making good clothes absurdly cheap, but now it just seems like you get what you pay for
