what are you all wearing lately. i got a pair of charcoal bb wool dress pants on ebay for 30 dollars. love them. so soft, my first wool pants. also um the pockets are round, not angled, which is cool.

Got these pants too and I like the matchup, although they slightly run into the problem I have with pants from most places which is "you can see my socks because I am a long-legged individual" but it's not TOO bad and I hope when I wash them that doesn't get exacerbated

Wanna see if I can find more thick sweaters like that one, also ideally w/ crew necks... i find bigger necks tend to overwhelm me a bit, i'm 6'2" with a 34ish+ waist and I tend to look more ogre-like with bigger collars.

also my shoe game is garbage but I probably won't fix that anytime soon because it's canadian wintertime.

J Crew "discounts" look like the exact same discounts they've had p much every day (but "today only") for the past 2-3 years. Still looking forward to post-Christmas when I can hopefully get the topcoat I've been eyeing for under $300.

feel like the whole workwear thing has faded away a lot.

Maybe it's always this way with massive fashion swings, but it felt to me like first it long overstayed what I thought was its played-outness and then suddenly it went away very quickly.

Now I feel like the looks are more unabashedly fussy, less ironically manly.

i still see the odd nice thing and i dunno, i think shirt jackets are kind of cool, or some of the japanese workwear is nice, but like wearing lots of plaid or brown or whatever, i dunno. lots of marketing of masculinity going on.

My SO is very upset that pleated pants are back. They never left DC, and he has been almost single-handedly (-leggedly?) swimming upstream on that.

Fight the good fight. I'm guessing Chicago is about on the same fashion level as DC.

A skinny handsome model dude with perfect style can get away with pleats but everyone else should stay far away. Pleats will get SO abused in places like DC and Chicago if they come back.

Suits with high waists and pleats can look good on a guy who can actually wear high-waisted pants, i.e. doesn't have a gut.
