lately I've been feeling like I need a whole new wardrobe

like I have some jeans and a couple shirts that I like but nothing else that is really working

favorite tees are falling apart past being wearable

favorite hoodie all of a sudden starts to feel like it fits very weirdly, maybe it is just too old at this point

every time I try top buttoning it feels like overdoing it. it's an affectation too far.

today I am rocking long sleeved t-shirt with polo on top for the first time in what feels like ages. I can't tell how I feel about it yet. Feels like I may be a bit old too pull this off. Which means it is necessary and I should do it every day that the weather cooperates.

i'm so down with that. i would do it white long sleeve + blue polo with khakis if i did it.

Uniqlo oxfords used to be great but now they are basically made from paper ime- I have one I bought 7 years ago that's in better shape than the last one I bought, about two years ago

yall put anything in your hair to style it?

i haven't in years since i used to basically buzz it but now that it is longer and curlier again i am starting to think it might be nice to use something to style it a little more, it is just really frizzy especially when it's humid out or after i wash it.

I don't love the buttoned-up thing, but just seems like people need to keep changing it up and that's as good a way to change it up as any. I don't think I'll ever rock the look though bc it doesn't suit someone like me, i.e. someone with a slight gut.

I do find it can be nice to put some light product in even if you don't "style" your hair -- it just kind of keeps it together, reduces frizz, etc.

re shirt buttoning it's all abt balance imo, like don't go top button if yr pants are tucked w/ a belt or suspenders, just way too manicured and tryhard looking. otoh if you haven't shaved or had a haircut in weeks and look like shit (like me) then top-button isn't a bad look. tho i enjoy the mad professor look i have atm, ymmv

yea that is what i am thinking, the frizz gets out of control. i don't wash my hair often, maybe 1x a week but for a couple days after i wash it it is super frizzy

i have thought about this top button thing a little more, it does seem like i am trying too hard doing it idk, also it is not very comfortable

also can yall recommend hoodies @ me? i need a new one and i wasn't digging the uniqlo/aa ones i tried on last week

Re hoodies, look for a good deal at Nordstrom Rack on James Perse or Vince.

I kind of covet some of those reigning champ hoodies but they're stupid expensive.

american giant hoodies are v popular and purportedly well made, and less expensive, but reigning champs look better imo

You will not find one loose stitching on these joints, im telling you the quality is on point..

They are actually better made than some of these high designer brands.

You need both zip and pullover, but zip is far superior. #teamzip
