hello, it me (clouds), Friday, 18 September 2015 14:12 (ten years ago)

what is the sock choice with white sneaks? white seems weird, black seems too stark. i guess i'd go with grey or maybe any color besides black/white with pants, then no-show with shorts?

rip van wanko, Friday, 18 September 2015 14:27 (ten years ago)

White sneakers for me will always be associated with doughy guys on their way to synagogue on Yom Kippur, just can't do it.

i like gray socks with white sneakers, especially since a lot of white sneakers are actually off-white

marcos, Wednesday, 23 September 2015 23:20 (ten years ago)

lately I've been feeling like I need a whole new wardrobe

like I have some jeans and a couple shirts that I like but nothing else that is really working

favorite tees are falling apart past being wearable

favorite hoodie all of a sudden starts to feel like it fits very weirdly, maybe it is just too old at this point

marcos, Wednesday, 23 September 2015 23:26 (ten years ago)

copped those air stabs feel like the fall look is gonna be those, black jeans, flannel shirts, crew neck sweatshirts

also marcos i work at an art school and the david lynch top-button thing is huge, i think it looks v studied

adam, Thursday, 24 September 2015 00:01 (ten years ago)

top button up thing is awful london radio 1 act imo - can't really see why you'd do it

Goggins-chic.

Jeff, Thursday, 24 September 2015 00:34 (ten years ago)

Never too old for hoodies.

Jeff, Thursday, 24 September 2015 00:35 (ten years ago)

I need to buy a hoodie and I am contemplating buying a few sizes up rather than something snug, i just kind of want a big zip hoodie

marcos, Thursday, 24 September 2015 01:07 (ten years ago)

sometimes top button untucked with the right sneaker

speaking of kenneth cole just emailed me and i'm like gah at these white sneakers but i have no $$

surm, Sunday, 27 September 2015 16:14 (ten years ago)

every time I try top buttoning it feels like overdoing it. it's an affectation too far.

today I am rocking long sleeved t-shirt with polo on top for the first time in what feels like ages. I can't tell how I feel about it yet. Feels like I may be a bit old too pull this off. Which means it is necessary and I should do it every day that the weather cooperates.

BRAAAAAAMETHEUS (El Tomboto), Sunday, 27 September 2015 17:29 (ten years ago)

i'm so down with that. i would do it white long sleeve + blue polo with khakis if i did it.

surm, Sunday, 27 September 2015 17:31 (ten years ago)

illegal economic migration (Tracer Hand), Sunday, 27 September 2015 19:48 (ten years ago)

Uniqlo oxfords used to be great but now they are basically made from paper ime- I have one I bought 7 years ago that's in better shape than the last one I bought, about two years ago

Elijah Wood is my top button buttoned icon. I thought it was just a part of his character in Wilfred, but he does it IRL too.

Je55e, Sunday, 27 September 2015 20:41 (ten years ago)

yall put anything in your hair to style it?

i haven't in years since i used to basically buzz it but now that it is longer and curlier again i am starting to think it might be nice to use something to style it a little more, it is just really frizzy especially when it's humid out or after i wash it.

marcos, Tuesday, 29 September 2015 18:18 (ten years ago)

I don't love the buttoned-up thing, but just seems like people need to keep changing it up and that's as good a way to change it up as any. I don't think I'll ever rock the look though bc it doesn't suit someone like me, i.e. someone with a slight gut.

I use this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B002N5MI2S?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_search_detailpage

Jeff, Tuesday, 29 September 2015 19:15 (ten years ago)

something about it is a little too cloying and wounded for me

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Tuesday, 29 September 2015 19:17 (ten years ago)

for hair care, my barber uses this on me and recommends it, but I haven't bought it yet:

http://www.amazon.com/Muk-Haircare-Rough-Forming-Cream/dp/B0050DLXVW/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1443554277&sr=8-1&keywords=muk+cream

H hates the smell of most men's hair products, and this one doesn't have much smell.

on entre O.K. on sort K.O. (man alive), Tuesday, 29 September 2015 19:19 (ten years ago)

I do find it can be nice to put some light product in even if you don't "style" your hair -- it just kind of keeps it together, reduces frizz, etc.
