around the house when it is super hot i wear these retro climbing shorts from patagonia with no shirt and my browns snapback hat i'll admit that i dig this look and wish i could wear it out

haven't worn boxers in maybe 10 years

apparently in thailand during the summer guys will wear boxers as shorts (with briefs underneath)

^ in the small town i grew up in this was totally a style for 1-2 summers. we had some weird isolated styles sometimes

also to make tihngs worse, they were "funny" boxers

tailoring question: how much would you expect to pay in nyc for the following alterations:

suit: let out jacket, let out waist, hem pants
wool pants: let out waist, hem pants
jeans: take in waist, hem pants

?

suit: $80?
pants: $40?
jeans: $50 if selvedge?

Ok, I paid more than that, feel like it was too expensive, but I was sort of in a pinch. He may have charged more for the rush suit order.

tailor near my office called Peppi's Tailor, little one-man shop. Had some very positive reviews on google and yelp (though not a lot of reviews), and when I talked to the guy on the phone I just liked him for some reason, sounded confident that he knew what he was doing or something.

But he didn't really give me a full breakdown of the itemized charges, just the total, and I was so panicked about making sure the suit is going to be ready (for a wedding) and since he could get it done fast I just said ok. So I feel like he probably overcharged me a little on purpose, but IDK.

what is the sock choice with white sneaks? white seems weird, black seems too stark. i guess i'd go with grey or maybe any color besides black/white with pants, then no-show with shorts?

White sneakers for me will always be associated with doughy guys on their way to synagogue on Yom Kippur, just can't do it.

i like gray socks with white sneakers, especially since a lot of white sneakers are actually off-white
