have been noticing more and more men wearing pants with elasticated cuffs ... a bridge too far

i wore a pair of those when i went to india. they had a drawstring elastic waist too. i think they're acceptable when you're going to spend 18 hours on planes.

had that haircut a couple times over the past cpl years but i was saying a desperately need a haircut to a friend recently (i really do, this shit is like peak-neglect keanu reeves long) and he said i sohuld get "that one with the shaved sides" and i groaned super loud. its still decent but goddamn is it played out.

i think i am going to look to keanu as my haircut spirit animal tho.

i am growing mine out right now, it hasn't been too long (about 4 months) and i have pretty wavy/curly hair so it doesn't look too long yet (and it any case it just kind of puffs out rather than grows down) so i am getting inspired by longer styles

Even the NYTimes reported on this hairstyle at least 2-3 years ago, back when it was edgier and sometimes referred to as the "hitler youth" haircut (although there seem to be many variations, not all of which fit that description).

Anyway, it's pretty common even among trendier wall street types now. All styles go through this progression, it is the circle of life my son.

Since I started getting haircuts as an adult, I always ask for the short sides cut because I have no idea what else to get. My hair looked consistently terrible from ages 1 - 23; since then it sometimes looks ok (if I do say so myself). I get the sides a bit longer than the fashion bros (a 3 or 4 with the clippers) and without being asked, they usually blend the sides and top instead of doing the weird "disconnected" thing. Will go get another one in <= 1wk can't wait

I get my sides shorter than the top but not enough to create that dramatic effect that's become popular. My sides just get too bushy if I don't get them short, so I've been doing it that way a pretty long time. Hair that is both jewfro-y and thinning at the same time is pretty limiting in terms of hairstyles anyway.

it has been so humid lately that my hair is just totally fro-ing out and i have this dylan '65 thing going on that feels a little unkempt and crazy but i am also kind of digging

I stopped getting haircuts a while back and have been working on a goatee for about a month. No other white dudes in my neighborhood look like this! It is officially not in style. That makes me more happy with it than I should be. The rest of the reason I'm happy with it is because the wife thinks it's cute.

Also when I found out that Levi's killed the 527 boot cut I went and spent $200+ on amazon picking up a bunch of reserves. I don't trust the future anymore. 527s = the new dad jeans. Fuck it.

Also, Chuck Taylor 70s are the shit, especially the Memorial Day limited edition from last year, with the stripes on the right shoe and the stars on the left. Those things are going to be money every time I break them out until my daughter goes to college and maybe beyond. No easier way to get random shout-outs from all walks of life. Even foreigners love 'em. Foreigners from MUSLIM COUNTRIES love them.

all the college students are back in boston and today was one of the first autumn-like days (breezy and high 60s w/ those fall-like spotty clouds) and there are ton of young people wearing scarves and shit. i noticed this trend in the spring a little but it was out of hand today -- women wearing these totally baggy, over-sized military jackets, it is very widespread but looks dope and i am not a woman but i really want one of these jackets tbh

I recommend dating a scooterist and keeping his parka when you dump him, that's what I did.

I would like to take some credit for the oversized parka thing tyvm since I've been wearing it out of satisfaction/spite for 5 years.
