I definitely needed shorts over the weekend (like hell am I going to wear pants at an outdoor music festival when it's 90 degrees out) and I wasn't feeling into any I had so I took a knife to some of my yardwork jeans

bought some AA pocket tees in what i was hoping were a nice olive green, but instead they looked like this weird combo of army green and forest green that looked weird super weird? i don't know maybe it is me that is weird. forest green is a weird color on me. anyways we were on the north carolina coast last week so i left them out in the sun all week and they are now all faded and exactly the color i was looking for, i am very pleased

Where are you and what industry is the job interview in? In my field you'd rarely wear anything less than a suit and tie to an interview.

xp: is there any way you can ask someone? You could just call the receptionist and be like "hi I have an interview there, what kind of dress is preferred?"

jacket would prob be a good idea flopson, no clue if tie is needed but maybe not if the job is somewhat technical

job is corporate so a suit prob wldnt be held against u a the least, even if prob no one ever wears one in yr department, tho im feeling jacket no tie more, asking someone is prob best of all if possible, mostly just try to look compedent and charming

imo jacket no tie is always better than tie no jacket

I won't go that far, but it's very hard to pull off well

and even when done well it's more of an insouciant thing and not for job interviews

Suit and tie is the best default, No one has ever failed an interview for being too smart, regardless of the type of job. Lots of people have failed for not being smart enough.

Yeah, I wouldn't wear a suit to a lot of tech companies, startups etc. Also there's this one asshole large lawfirm who thinks it's some kind of fabulous perk that people wear jeans and t-shirts in office and they really like it when people don't come in a suit to the interview.
