one thing that annoys me abt the 'net is as it grows in volume it becomes harder to find infos of yesteryear since the vast majority of content is new like i just tried to find what is imo the definitive cargo look, its from the early 00s and i like to think of it as "the jamie foxx" cargo pants paired with a ribbed mock tneck, the wearer was saying to themselves i am funky cool and also a lil bit classy this outfit is the bomb

I've seen kinda slim cargo pants a bit in the last few years.

Somebody is trying hard to get cargo pants to make a comeback in women's fashion. I've almost bought them a couple of times - all those glorious pockets!

feel like i've seen pants with a 'iphone 6+ / hueg samsung galaxy' special pocket in the front but i don't really recall

during the height of cargo pants i wld ask ppl if they were gonna put some stuff in there and they wld always claim that sometimes they put stuff in there and it was very handy actually but they never seem to have any stuff there at the time

safari pants on the other hand are sweet

as a high school stoner during the peak of cargo pants in late 90s early 00s i definitely appreciated the pockets, you had to carry a lot of shit around -- lighter, glass piece, baggie, eye drops, altoids, water, the baggy look and big pockets concealed all this

They were really good for shoplifting, too.

@ronan - my sweat shorts were the equivalent of thirty-two pounds. i wld not blame anyone for refusing to pay that much for shorts fwiw

the korean and japanese brands i follow on instagram had these really tech-y shorts for s/s 15 with like weird pockets - might have been for technology stuff like dayo was saying? kinda hate that look tbh even though i have a lot of respect for the urban mtn climber aesthetic in general

On cargo pants, I think someone in menswear is trying to bring them back too. I'm sure I've seen them for sale - also Nick Wooster wears them a lot. Think Suit Supply might sell them so it's that GQ type thing.

i go through like three pairs every summer so i just buy $5 knockoffs in chinatown but i like nice sunglasses a lot

yes. don't get me wrong i would love a pair of nice glasses but i would crush them. somehow. they would break.

one year my mom bought these beautiful winter gloves - i think the first winter i had moved back to canada - and i ended up owning them for less than a month. they were fantastic gloves, warm and stylish and incredibly nice-feeling so when i left behind on the streetcar one night i decided to google them and buy myself another pair. when i saw how much they were i was genuinely ashamed of myself, bought a cheap pair of thinsulate wool gloves at winners and failed to learn anything having lost sunglasses, keys, wallets, my passport and any number of other valuable items.

To change the subject from shorts: when are long, low and very pointed shoes for men going to just die. Is this a British thing? The guys who wear them aren't really chavs they are generally acceptably dressed otherwise, sometimes suited. A kinda topman thing, I guess? I feel like these folk have been wearing these horrible things for about 10 years. So disgusting.
